Donald Trump addressed the nation tonight about what a state we are in. He used some very illustrative appeals to people in the audience with tremendous stories. Many of their reactions were very real and clearly unrehearsed.
There was still plenty of pageantry, but a lot of the speech dwelt upon some very real and dark parts of our daily lives and the world. I was glad he went there. There was certainly a message of hope, but the message was mainly a prideful boasting type of hope that we are going to white knuckle the renewal of the world rather than pave the way for God restoration to logos.
We can only learn over time.
